Seriously? A 2+ Million Dollar Superbowl Ad Wasn't Enough?

Got this in the mail the other day...
I wonder how many households this was sent to, using our precious, non-existent (as in,  collected-but-already-spent) tax dollars?

I mean, did we REALLY need a letter informing us that the Census was going to be sent out?

I had the exact same reaction. Unfortunately, I'm afraid there are a lot of people who need the reminder.

It's very frustrating for me that people are so lazy about being informed.

We received one of those too. It seemed a little odd that they send a letter out to prepare you for the letter they're ABOUT to send out. Why not just skip the first letter and save some money?

After you mail your census form back in, be sure to watch for the thank-you note the government will mail to you for participating!

We got that one, then the census, and the following week we got another letter just making sure we knew they sent the census the week before.
