Puppy Love, AKA Most Embarrassing Moment Ever. . .

I believe that every girl must have an unrequited crush at least once . . .

I once had a crush on a boy that several of my friends all liked. We were in the sixth grade, and "going with" a boy was the big thing. You didn't go anywhere with him, but it was known that you were boyfriend/girlfriend if a boy asked you to "go with" him.

One day this particular boy was paying quite a bit of attention to me during recess.

Eventually he pulled me aside - a little bit, but not enough for privacy, and said he wanted to ask me a question.

He said "will you go with me?" In that moment, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. The sun was brighter, the birds sang more beautifully, etc. You get the picture.

So with my heart full of puppy love, I gratefully said "yes".

This boy burst out with the loudest "April Fools!" you ever heard. My friends all giggled. At me, or with embarrassment for me, I wasn't sure. Didn't matter.

Hu.mil.i.a.tion

I couldn't look at that boy without dying of embarrasment for the rest of the year.

Thankfully, that boy moved away before I entered Junior High, the mecca of all Embarrassing Moments.

What was your most embarrassing moment? (This post was all Emmy's idea . . . )

That really was stinky of him, wasn't it? I'm glad you eventually got over it :)

I had a crush on a boy from 5-7th grade. He was my next store neighbor. I don't know if there was anything particularly embarrassing that I did or said but what embarrassed me at the time was his Mom and Grandmother's reaction towards me. They obviously saw how I acted around Joe that I had a HUGE crush on him.

oh, that is awful of him!

my most embarrassing moment was when my mom was taking me to school and we were behind a school bus and a boy in the back of the bus mooned us. i was mostly embarrassed because i was with my mom.

then, after my mom dropped me off, she folled the bus into the school and got the boys name and had the counselor have him and me come into her office so he could apologize to me. i saw him all the time after that.

That was just plain MEAN. I picture him a very lonely man, sitting in his wife beater and boxer shorts on his couch, eating cheetoes and playing Halo on line with a bunch of 14 years olds.

Yep, I'm sure that's where he is now.

I'll just bet that karma has bit that boy in the butt for that one. What a stinker.

I've too many embarrassing moments, I can't pick just one.

Oh... that is horrible. Puppy love seems to get us into all sorts of horrid predicaments, doesn't it? As for embarrassing moments, I can't narrow it down. I am one of those people that flubs up often. So many embarrassing moments to choose from....:)

I once gave a boy my phone number, then told him I didn't know if it was the right number but that he should feel free to try it out anyway. (In my defense, I almost never used the phone and anyone I wanted to have the number lived on my street anyway.) But still.

Sorry about that. No fun at all... Man.

I once got sick on a date and threw up on the side of the road out of the car door. But I also farted when I was throwing up. Yah. It was terrific.
