(I am trying to do a little catch-up posting here - just bear with me)
I mean, who can resist the beauty of this breathtaking lake?

There ALways should be a pie-eating contest. I mean, what's a little sticky when you are out in the middle of nowhere? (Well, this camp does have nice warm showers. Lucky girls. But really, is that real camping??)
Is this what they made at craft-time?
No, wait. This is the real craft . . .
Can girls shoot a bow and arrow? Of course!
A few Mardi-Gras beads to liven things up a bit. . .
. . . and a little sugar to keep them going . . .
As I said before, Lucky Girls!

I always LOVED girls camp - but I must admit the girls are quite spoiled compared to the typical scout camp :)

I have some fun memories of girl's camp, too. It looks like they had a blast!
To answer your question...I have never dried pears, but I'm gonna try this year. I've heard they are really yummy! My family sure likes them canned and I'll do a bunch of applesauce this year, too.
Hope you're having a wonderful summer...I always think of you when we cross over into Idaho!
Gorgeous place to camp.
That lake is stunning! Are those pixie sticks? I haven't seen or had any of those in ages.
Great pictures :)
