In an observation of Obama making light of the Tea Party's Tax-Day efforts and saying that we should actually thank him for everything he has done http://www.onenewsnow.com/Politics/Default.aspx?id=981056
Our country has been sliding away from freedom and liberty for quite a few years now, slowly but surely. Right under our noses. It has been happening so gradually that the average person busy with a full life didn't really notice. I was raised as a conservative, and the first President I ever voted for was Ronald Reagan. Little did I know that he would be the president that would bring about such great events, not the least of which were the falling of the Wall, and prosperity beyond what we'd ever seen before. I think too many of us were quite complacent. I didn't have the awareness that I have now. I know now that I took it all for granted.
And I have Obama to thank for it.
Why, you ask? It should be fairly clear, especially to my fellow conservative friends.
Because he has accelerated the pace that this county has been going away from it's roots exponentially, and if that isn't a SLAP in the face, and a wake-up call, I don't know what is. Really, besides the mainstream media, who hasn't noticed?
If this doesn't wake up people who are on the fence or are simply apathetic to take a stand for Liberty and all that our Constitution stands for, I don't know what it will take.
Do we as Americans know what we really want for our country, the still-great United States of America? Does everyone -every Citizen- know that it takes Involvement and Commitment to their ideals to keep this country Strong and Free, and that we must speak up whenever possible and appropriate?
I just hope that more and more people will be motivated to research the facts of what has been happening to our country these past 15+ months, and go do something about it a the polls in November. Even better, find a candidate in your state that supports your ideals, who will really make a real change for the better for this country - one that will put it on the road to returning it to it's Constitutional roots. Put your time and efforts, and if you can, your donations towards those good candidates.
Do what the designers of the Constitution intended for our country - government Of the People, By the People, and For the People.
