Heck of a Halloween - 2009

This year our Halloween was . . . I don't really know how to describe it.

Rachel was the only one who got to carve a pumpkin.

All of the pumpkins in our garden froze.

All of the grocery stores were sold out by the time I got around to buying any.

Maybe next year . . .

Cute Evan Thomas, in his pumpkin sweatshirt the day before Halloween.

Somehow I didn't get pictures of any of the grandkids in their costumes.

Bad, bad grandma.

Just being a mom, I guess - sometimes it's hard to be both . . The girls dressed up as zombies, and we went to see "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs".

Cute movie. Rachel's friend, Sean, and Noelle's friend, Anna, came along, too.

Sean

AnnaAfterwards, Rachel and Sean took Noelle and Anna trick-or-treating in Kayla's neighborhood. Since we live in the sticks.
Mark banged his head taking care of the cattle, so he decided to stay home.

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the boys, but they had a blast at our ward's Trunk-or-Treat. Then we headed to Kayla's ward Halloween party.

Tanner lost his loose tooth as we were walking from the car to the building, but it was dark and it fell out into the grass, and we were in a hurry, and he said he probably swallowed it, anyway.

And he's not worried about the Tooth Fairy.

Maybe the other kids have already warned him that she is AWOL in this household.

Hope you all had a great Halloween.

We can't wait til Thanksgiving!

Obviously we share a Tooth Fairy route! LOL!

We have only carved pumpkins with our kids once- the guts gross me out. I'll join you in the bad Mom/Grandma line for that one!

Looks like everyone had a great time.

Ha ha ha... a REAL lost tooth! ;) How creepy for someone to find it the next day... unless he really did swallow it! ;)

I'm glad you guys had such a great Halloween!!! *:D* Here's wishing you an AWESOME November!!!

Some days are just like that. At least you all had fun!

And, Bria just lost a tooth and she actually outright asked me about the tooth fairy (since ours is rather unreliable) and I had to tell her the truth.

I think the Tooth Fairy pays more for teeth lost in the wild. ;)

Nice to know I'm not the only one who can't seem to remember that she's the tooth fairy. Sometimes it has taken "days" for the fairy to show up and leave something under the pillow.

MM has taken over the job of Tooth Fairy as I will forget everytime... I even blogged about it once.

Looks like you had an awesome halloween!

Sound like our Halloween. My daughter's boyfriend best friend had a party and some underage girls crashed it, then he ended up in the ER with chest pains. I got hit on the way to work. (no damage felt really lucky!) then my keyboard to the computer died. that made me so mad!! I couldn't blog to 2 days!!! LOL

I bought a pumpkin the day before Halloween in Connecticut. There were only two left on the rack. I bought it to do dinner in a pumpkin. I was flabbergasted at the price of it. $7.99 for 1 pumpkin!!! Isn't that nuts?
