The (borrowed) Post that Keeps on Giving! (A.K.A. My 100th Post GIVEAWAY)

For my 100th post celebration, recognition, achievement; whatever you wanna call it, I thought and thought about what I wanted to do.

Susette suggested doing a "100 things about me" list – a fun idea, but since I had already done one like this and this and that, I just kept thinking . . .

Another idea was to do a recap of some of my most, ummmm, interesting (?) posts, but you can go and read any of them, anytime. Not so interesting, fun, or exciting, I don't think.

(Just some stuff about the

first day of school pics (not), crazy redneck outhouses, our new presidency, my missionary son, what a Christmas tree Nazi I am , speeding tickets, and an April Fool's Day joke.)

I think probably once is enough!

Then I remembered a post a good blogger buddy of mine (thanks Erin!) did a couple of months ago. She was going to be out of town, and away from this little "world" we have going on here, and didn't want to be forgotten! So she 'borrowed' the idea from several others that were doing it at the time, and I thought it was a lot of fun.

(Plus, it might get some Blog Lurkers, AND friends & family – you know who you are – to not be so bashful and leave a comment!)

AND - it's a great way to get to know EveryONE better!

So, this is how it works - I will ask a question . . .

The very first commenter answers my question, and then figures out another question to ask the next commenter.

Then the NEXT commenter answers that question, and chooses another question for the next commenter.

And so on, and so on.

It's pretty fun to do, and to read!

AND . . . here's the best part - every comment (with a questions answered and asked) will enter you in a random drawing
to Win !
a cute cute cute little apron that I will be making in the next few days.

I have made these for presents lately, and one for myself, and almost everyone has said they loved them!

This is the fabric. I thought it was cute for the coming summer . . . (yay, summer! Can't wait!)

So I hope you like it, too - enough to leave a comment!

So –

Here's my question –
"If you could LIVE anywhere in the world, where would that BE? And Why?

Thanks for playin'!

Oh - and I should give you a date that I will be doing the drawing -
it will be Monday, May 11! At, let's say, Seven pm!
So leave a comment now, ya hear!

I would live in the mountains next to a stream and a huge network of trails so I could go running everyday or snowshoeing or hiking or river rafting. (Not sure where that place is, any suggestions?)
My question is, If you could be anyone in the world who would it be and why?

Missy said...

I would be a bird because i would love to get around by flying everywhere and how cool would it be to head South from here every winter to go live in warmer climates! For Free! :)....here's my ?.....if you had alot of money and could spend it on either a personal chef, personal trainer, maid, butler, personal secretary, nanny, or personal Massage therapist, which would you choose and why?

Candy Javier said...

I would choose a personal trainer for sure. I have no internal motivation, I need someone to scream and yell at me!

My question is:
If you could hop on a plane in five minutes and go visit someone you miss terribly, who would it be and why?

Love you Loralee!

I would visit my best friend who lives across the country.

My question is:
What would you choose-- apple or pear?

Nathan said...

Definitely apple. Pears are all gritty.

If you could meet anyone historically famous, who would it be and why?

Jessica Jane said...

I would love to meet Amelia Earhart, mostly because she seems like a dare devil, stong adventurous lady, but also to find out what happened to her.

My question is: What is your favorite color and how does it make you feel when you see it or wear it?

Erin said...

I actually have two favorite colors - red and yellow. Red is my favorite to wear, because I feel pretty. Yellow is my favorite in general because it is such a happy color.

What is your favorite movie of all time?

mCat said...

All time favorite movie is hard because I have so many. I will have to answer Saving Private Ryan. It touched me at many different levels and changed me as a person.

Okay, next question - If you could choose one person (living) that you could spend a week with to see what their life is like, who would it be?

Kate said...

I would spend a week with my sister. She is so organized and seems to have everything together it would be nice to see how that works.

My question, if money wasn't an object where would you go on a trip or vacation and how many members of your family would be invited???

My ?---What would your picture perfect day be like and who if anyone would you spend it with?

What a fun idea... In answer to your question. I would be somewhere out in "the country"! like montana because it is so peaceful and people are so much friendly out in those parts. there are friendly people everywhere but, they seem to be more friendly.

And another question you can ask for the next commenter is: Where is the most memorable and unforgettable place you have been to and why?

The Birthday Group said...

Happy to join the list. What a great idea this is. It is so much fun.

The first thought that came into my head was Hawaii. I spent 10 days there and crammed so much stuff into it because I never would make it back. It was a trip of a lifetime. I loved seeing the beauty, I loved the history and the variety. It was a great trip!

My question: If you could re-do a room in your home what would it be and how would you change it?

R Allen said...

I would re-do my kitchen and make it BIGGER with new appliances and a BIG FAT ISLAND in the middle. Dreams are free.
(What a great idea for a giveaway Lisaloo and I NEED an apron!!)
Question: What is the one date that you will never tell your parents about and WHY?

Jan said...

I hope my comment will self destruct before my parents would ever read it. I have mentioned this once to someone else, but one time, I was on a date and I needed to grab something at my apartment right. So then I went to the bathroom and when I came out, he was standing there nekked. It was so sick. Luckily I had a neighbor that I can count on if I ever knocked on the wall. But I told the guy to get lost and never call me again. There is a really scary part to this story as well, but maybe I'll blog about the 2nd part sometime :)

If you could be an owner of your own store, what would you want to sale or do?

susette said...

Oh Jan!!!!! That is disgusting. I'm glad you knew how to handle that dude. I'm very curious to hear part two.
I have actually owned my own store. It was a copy, laminating, family home evening packets, scrapbook supplies (minimal) etc. It was a lot of fun but lots of work too, especially with four young children.

My question is: What's the all time best dinner you make for your family. Is dessert included too? (hint-I'm needing some great meal ideas)

Anonymous said...

This is such a cool idea~!~!

ok:

My All Time Best Dinner I Make For My Family & Dessert

THIS IS WHAT MY FAMILY SAYS IS THEIR FAVORITE:

Main Dish: Chicken and Rice Enchiladas

Side Dishes: Spanish Rice, Cooked Apples, Shredded lettuce with Guacamole on Top

Dessert: Caramel Pie with Vanilla IceCream

yummmmy!!!

OK: My Question is this:

**WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT BEING A MOTHER???**

Lynn said...

What I love most about being a mother is when a moment of joy sneaks in between the hours of daily tediousness. But I guess another "most" is being a grandmother. When the grandchildren show up with hugs and kisses and smiles, it lights me up inside.

My question: What is your hobby and how do you find time and money to fit it in?

Melanie said...

Fun giveaway. Thanks for letting me know about it!

In answer to the question above, my hobby (one of them) is cooking and baking (shocker, I know!) and I find the time because I do it with my kids and I find the money in our grocery budget!

My question is: If you could eat one food/dish for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Holly said...

How fun!

I would choose pizza because I associate pizza with fun family togetherness without me having to do much work!

If money weren't a limiting factor what are 3 things you would love to do?

LyndiLou said...

If Money wasn't a limiting factor I would...

#1 Houses for everyone in my family! That way each of us would have somewhere safe and secure, ALWAYS!!!

#2 Reserve a spot for each of us on the FOREVER CRUISE! (That's not really what it's called, but I don't know what it's really called! ;) But there are cruises that travel all over the world and make stops at LOTS of different ports.) We would ALWAYS have a vacation option

#3 Hmmm... the first two have been a little selfish sooo, I suppose I better get clean, safe running water for everyone on the planet! ;) Hopefully that makes up for my first two! ;)

Yahoo for 100 posts! It's been great getting a glimpse of you and your family! :) How fun to have a giveaway too!!!

My question is...

What is your favorite song... and how does it make you feel?!?

Abby said...

See, I'm only cheap in certain areas. Like free stuff. Even when I know I won't win them.

I have many favorite songs, so I'll go with my favorite 80s song. "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears. I think of "Pure Genius," that marvelous comedy starring a young what's-his-face. And it makes me think I want to rule the world. Which I totally do.

My question: What's the worst way to die? (I'll need to know if I'm going to take over the world.)

Becky said...

What's the worst way to die? Hmmm... I'm gonna have to say by fire.

Would you rather have great hair or great legs?

Lara Neves said...

Great hair, definitely. Not-so-great legs can be hidden, not-so-great hair cannot.

What is your strangest quirk?

Cristin said...

My strangest quirk is that I will not eat expired food. I even have memorized all the expiration dates of the food currently in my refrigerator.

Fun game, Loralee!

My question is -

If you could take 3 things with you on a deserted island, what would you take and why?

Amber M. said...

What a fun game!!

If I could take 3 things to a deserted island, I would take my husband (for obvious reasons), a case of bottled water (another obvious one) and a huge collection of books. (Does that count as just one thing??)

My question: Paper, plastic, or reusable grocery bags?? :-)

Mrs. O said...

Plastic - I use them for trash liners and dog doo pick-up.

My question - What one modern convenience could you NOT live without?

That apron is so cute! I know it's too late to enter (been out of town), but I had to play along.

Gatten Gang said...

I would just like the pattern for your apron! Jean

Abby said...

Since I won I want to answer the last question. The modern convenience I couldn't live without would be my refrigerator. I love it to death.
